Tienen ropa, muebles y \"cosas\" del siglo pasado (que lejos parece que queda). Entrar en esta tienda es como entrar en una película inglesa sobre los duros años de la II Guerra Mundial y del período que siguió. Son impresionantes los vestidos de fiesta y los uniformes de enfermera. Lo encontré en la tienda de la Tate Modern, donde no abundan los libros dedicados a la artesanía textil o textil-based crafts más allá de los libros de diseño de moda.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ETal vez sea cierto lo que dice la autora en su introducción: La artesanía textil ha sido, tradicionalmente, vista como un hobby o pasatiempo doméstico, básicamente femenino (si no exclusivamente femenino) y no como una forma de arte por derecho propio.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ELos artistas que aparecen en el libro deberían, por sus muchos méritos, poder cambiar esta percepción, sólo hace falta dar un vistazo a su obra, novedosa, alternativa y subversiva. En la foto una obra en crochet de la chilena afincada en Alemania Patricia Waller.
